As the 3rd Semester started, I chose Fashion Management Studies (FMS) as my minors. For the 3rd semester, the FMS IDM (Inter-disciplinary Minor) offers ‘Introduction to Marketing & Retail’ as a subject.
This was technically my first conscious introduction to the backend of marketing. for the assignments, we were supposed to work in groups of 6-7 students. My group had 6 people including me. We chose Women’s Handbags as our Product Category.
The assignment of this subject has been one of the best assignments I’ve been a part of so far. Every week we used to get some interesting task to add to our presentation. Right from selecting a thoughtful name for the brand till deciding the nature of promotion campaigns, this assignment taught us a lot.
This subject has induced in me an inclination towards marketing in particular and the backend of the management industry in general. Here is a presentation of the same-
